Welcome to Domesty. These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Domesty platform, including our website, mobile applications, and services (collectively referred to as the “Platform”). By accessing, registering, or using the Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use our Platform.
Definitions
- "User": Refers to anyone using the Platform, including Customers and Service Providers.
- "Customer": A User who posts tasks or requests services through the Platform.
- "Service Provider": A User who offers and completes tasks or services through the Platform.
- "Task": A job or service requested or posted by a Customer.
- "Platform": Refers to Domesty’s website, mobile application, and all associated tools and services.
User Responsibilities
- Eligibility: Users must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into legally binding agreements.
- Account Information: All Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration. Falsification of identity, impersonation, or fraudulent activity is prohibited.
- Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Domesty is not liable for unauthorized account access resulting from your negligence.
- Compliance: Users must comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations when using the Platform.
Tasks and Transactions
- Task Posting: Customers must provide accurate and complete details when posting a Task. Tasks must comply with Domesty’s content policies and applicable laws.
- Offers: Service Providers must ensure their offers reflect the pricing, timeline, and resources they can commit to completing the Task.
- Payments:
- Payments are securely processed through our integrated payment gateway.
- Customers are required to fund the Task budget upfront. Funds are held in escrow until the Task is marked as completed and approved by the Customer.
- Service Providers will only be paid once the Customer confirms the Task is complete.
- Cancellation and Refunds:
- Customers may cancel a Task before an offer is accepted for a full refund.
- If a Task is canceled after acceptance, refunds may be issued at Domesty’s sole discretion, based on the Task’s progress and the circumstances of cancellation.
- Service Providers who fail to complete a Task may forfeit payment and be subject to penalties.
Prohibited Activities
- Posting illegal, inappropriate, or fraudulent Tasks or content.
- Discriminating against Users based on race, religion, gender, age, or other protected attributes.
- Circumventing the Platform’s payment system by arranging payments outside the Platform.
- Misusing the review or rating system, including posting false reviews.
- Engaging in abusive, threatening, or harassing behavior toward other Users or Domesty staff.
Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or termination.
Fees and Commissions
- Domesty charges a 10% service fee on both Customers and Service Providers for each Task completed through the Platform.
- All fees are non-refundable except in specific circumstances as outlined in the cancellation and refund policy.
- Any applicable taxes, such as VAT, are included in the displayed service fee.
Dispute Resolution
- Disputes Between Users: Domesty encourages Customers and Service Providers to resolve disputes amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, Domesty may mediate but is not obligated to intervene.
- Escrow Disputes: Disputes involving escrow funds will be reviewed by Domesty’s support team. Decisions regarding fund release are final and binding.
- Liability: Domesty is not responsible for any disputes arising directly between Users.
Right to Work and Legal Compliance
Service Provider Responsibilities:
All service providers using Domesty’s platform are solely responsible for ensuring that they possess the necessary legal right to work in their respective jurisdictions. Domesty does not conduct right-to-work checks unless explicitly stated as part of an optional verification process.
Compliance with Local Laws:
By using the platform, service providers agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to tax obligations, permits, and licensing requirements related to their services.
Liability Disclaimer:
Domesty operates as a facilitator and assumes no responsibility for verifying the legal work status of service providers. Any disputes or issues related to a service provider’s eligibility to work are solely between the customer and the service provider.
Optional Verification:
Domesty may offer an optional right-to-work verification process to service providers who wish to enhance their profiles and build trust with customers. Participation in this process is voluntary and subject to additional terms.
Intellectual Property
- All content, trademarks, logos, and materials on the Platform are the property of Domesty or its licensors. Users may not copy, modify, or distribute this content without prior permission.
- Users retain ownership of any content they upload to the Platform but grant Domesty a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute this content for operational purposes.
Limitation of Liability
- Domesty provides the Platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
- Domesty is not liable for:
- Any loss, damage, or injury resulting from Tasks performed by Service Providers.
- Any disputes or issues arising between Customers and Service Providers.
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Platform.
- The maximum liability of Domesty to any User is limited to the total amount paid by the User to Domesty in the past 12 months.
Insurance Coverage
Overview
Domesty provides an exclusive third-party liability insurance policy as part of the Pro Plan subscription. This policy covers service providers for liability to third parties arising from personal injury or property damage while performing eligible tasks on the Domesty platform.
The insurance policy is managed by Domesty’s insurance partners and is designed to offer peace of mind to Pro Plan subscribers. Please note:
- Insurance coverage is subject to the policy terms, conditions, and exclusions.
- Coverage applies only to tasks booked, accepted, and completed entirely through the Domesty platform using its escrow system.

- Unauthorized Tasks: Tasks performed outside the Domesty platform or without payment through escrow.
- Excluded Activities: Certain task types (e.g., hazardous, illegal, or specialized) are not covered. Refer to the excluded activities list for details.
- Intentional Misconduct: Damage or injury caused by malicious intent or criminal acts.
- Faulty Workmanship: Issues related to quality or standards of service, unless explicitly linked to covered damages.
- Service Provider Property/Injury: Personal injury to, or damage to property owned by, the service provider.
- Sub-Contracting: Tasks delegated to unregistered or unverified individuals.
- Pre-existing Conditions: Any property damage or injury occurring before the task.Excess and Claims

- Excess Fee: All claims are subject to an excess fee payable by the service provider. Pro Plan users must review applicable excess fees before filing a claim.
- Filing a Claim: Submit claims within 30 days via the Domesty Help & Support section. Required documentation includes:
- Incident details (e.g., time, location, and cause).
- Supporting evidence (photos, receipts, communications).
- Contact details for follow-up.

If a service provider causes property damage or personal injury during a task, Domesty Insurance helps cover liability subject to policy terms. Customers are advised to check the insurance status of the service provider before assigning tasks.
Are all tasks covered?
No, tasks must meet the eligibility criteria (e.g., booked and paid through Domesty). Some task categories are excluded (e.g., hazardous, illegal, or specialized tasks).
What happens if the service provider gets injured?
Domesty Insurance does not cover personal injuries to service providers. Service providers are advised to secure personal health or worker’s compensation insurance independently.
What about disputes or false claims?
If disputes arise, the Domesty team reviews evidence to ensure fairness. False claims may result in account suspension or penalties.
Termination
- Users may terminate their account at any time by contacting support.
- Domesty reserves the right to suspend or terminate User accounts for violations of these Terms or misuse of the Platform.
- Upon termination, any pending payments will be processed or refunded according to the cancellation and refund policy.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws where the task was posted
Amendments
Domesty reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or Platform announcements. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
